BBR Feature Racer:  Carl Schlacht


 
Carl Schlacht started riding at age three on a 50cc four-wheeler. Once he was able to ride on two wheels it was time to move up. At age six Schlacht was riding his Yamaha 50cc motorcycle. and began racing. Growing up neighbors to an older generation of pro racers, he gained mindset at a very young age. Carl raced locally for the first 2 years and by 1993 he qualified for his first of twelve Loretta Lynn National Competition. The next 11 years Carl traveled the country to a variety of events within his family’s financial ability, racing from Florida to Las Vegas in National Level Amateur Events moving from the 50cc class up to the Pro Level. Carl has gained the respect and knowledge to be a serious contender with the right resources. Turning pro and obtaining his Supercross License Endorsement in 2005, Carl competed at 16 pro races as a rookie in and raced a full season in 2006 . The 2007 season did not go as planned, a head injury at the first round of Supercross kept him off the bike most of the year. In 2008, Carl raced the Mini-Moto Supercross Exhibition Series in conjunction with the AMA Supercross Series and the East Coast Mini National winning the 10" pro class. The most recent 2009 Season Carl raced 7 Ama Monster Energy Supercross Races aboard his Honda CRF 450. Appearances in 2009 on CBS, Speed Channel, and MTV, capping it off with racing for BBR Motorsports at the Las Vegas Mini-Moto in the 10",12" pro and the 12" stock/mod classes. Carl is really excited for the upcoming 2010 Supercross Series to start which he is prepaing to be a serious contender along with being a front runner at National Mini-Moto Events throughout the country.
